RED CARPET AWARDS LUNCHEON CELEBRATING DIVERSITY AND DYNAMIC ACTION- ORIENTED SHEROES AND STUNTWOMEN. THE EVENT IS TO BE HELD ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16TH, 2022, AT THE SHERATON UNIVERSAL HOTEL, CA.

(LOS ANGELES, CA) – 9/13/2022 – Executive Producer, veteran stunt performer, and Diamond in the RAW non-profit founder, La Faye Baker, in conjunction with Executive Producer, Wendy Wheaton of Tinseltown Productions, LLC, present the 11th Annual Action Icon Awards. The Awards will be held Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 11 am – 3 pm, at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, CA.

These two trailblazing women have teamed up and will honor Action Oriented Actresses, Unsung Sheroes, and Stuntwomen in film & Television. These extraordinary and courageous women are behind the scenes, breaking barriers in Hollywood and around the globe, creating noteworthy contributions in movies and television.

La Faye Baker, Executive Producer and Founder, who has performed stunts in over 130 movies says, “The ceremony honors entertainment professionals, women who dare to be different, and the unsung heroines behind the scenes – stuntwoman! In addition, the ceremony will put action-oriented women and the directors at the forefront, creating life-changing opportunities for women, especially those of color.”

The 11th annual Action Icon Awards will be Hosted by HBO’s Jesus Sepulveda and CBS Emmy Reporter Roqui Theus. This highly anticipated event attracts some of the hardest working women in Hollywood, along with A-list action-oriented celebrities, extreme sports enthusiasts, Olympic athletes, and other entertainment professionals.

Our 2022 Honorees include; actress Marisol Nichols as our (Action Icon “Actorvist Award”;) Showrunner Meg DeLoatch as (our “Action Icon Founders Award”;) Casting Director Sarah Finn is (our “Crystal Award” recipient;) actress Alexandra Grey will receive (our “Breaking Barrier’s Award”;) 12X Olympic Medalist in Bowling Gazmine ‘GG’ Mason will receive (the “Dare2BDifferent Award”;) and, Tracy Dashnaw will be honored with (the Helen Gibson award,”) as she is a pioneer stuntwoman with over 30 years of experience.

Other categories include: Action Icon Film, Stuntwoman of the Year, Diamond in the RAW, GEM, Dynamic Duo, Jewel, and The Pink Diamond awards.

Finalists and honorees are selected by an esteemed group of entertainment professionals and stunt performers in the fields of entertainment.

The Diamond in the RAW foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and transforming the lives of foster care and at-risk teenage girls between the ages of 12-18 through S.T.E.A.M. (Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics). Diamond in the RAW aims to deter gang violence, bullying, domestic violence, human trafficking, substance abuse, unplanned pregnancy, mental health issues, and delinquent behaviors that often lead to destructive cycles in at-risk communities.
